i’m excited to have a platform to share my love of baking with the world!!

i thought i’d start with what i consider to be my first professional cake–this was for my wedding in sept 2012. it was by far one of the most ambitious projects i had worked on up until that point, and was one of only a handful of cakes i had decorated with fondant. i found the inspiration for the design from knot.com. the bottom tier was chocolate with chocolate buttercream and the top tier was tiramisu, filled with marscapone and iced with vanilla buttercream. i wish i had known then what i know now about using homemade marshmallow fondant and modeling chocolate for decorating, but ce la vie. stay tuned for more posts!
